Also, AJ is now a married man!
From JustJared.com

Backstreet Boy AJ McLean is a married man, JustJared.com can confirm.

The 33-year-old singer married model Rochelle DeAnna Karidis in a ceremony officiated by photographer pal Tyler Shields on Saturday (December 17) at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

People reports that the twosome exchanged vows under a gazebo adorned with white hydrangeas, while guests were surrounded by warm elements like romantic chandeliers.Gorgeous!

After the ceremony, guests headed to the hotel’s Crystal ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Music Thursday: Epic Backstreet Competition

At the pre-cruise party, Nick and AJ had a, uh, rather intellectual debate over which song they preferred, which then turned into a sing-off. I don't think this one is ever going to be settled though...who do you agree with? :D I don't know if I can really compare two different Backstreet eras, it's like Apples to Oranges...but my inner prepubescent self is cheering for Nick. lol

Lots of Kevin news this week. Seems the man is making up for lost time with his disappearance from the public eye. lol

Gossipology exclusive: Exclusive: Backstreet Boys' Kevin Richardson Talks About Cousin Brian Littrell And His Holiday Traditions

It can be difficult for anyone during the holidays to travel to see both sides of their family. Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys shared this common trouble recently and even mentioned how the flying from location to location hasn't really changed since growing up.

"In my family on Christmas Eve, we would go to my grandparents on my mother's side. And then on Christmas day we would go to my other grandparent's house. In both of those instances we would have a big dinner and then we would open presents. All my cousins would be there. That's what we did every year, so since I've moved away from home, every year--I think I've missed only one year--I've flown back or traveled back to Kentucky with my family. We, my wife and I, have a son now. This year we are actually going to spend Christmas--he's four now--here at our home in California. Then we're going to go see my family in Kentucky. [Laughs] So we can establish our own little Christmas Eve and Christmas Day tradition as our own little family."

Kevin may not see cousin Brian Littrell as much anymore during the season because of their growing families, but Kevin is excited to start his own traditions now with his 4 year old son and wife Kristin too."Basically since I've been married since 2000, my wife and I--we would alternate. Now she's from Kansas City and I'm from Kentucky so we would go to Kansas City, around like the 18th and we would stay until the 25th. Then we would fly to Kentucky right after that and stay from the 26th to New Years. And we would rotate who's home we would go to first every year. So one year we would be with my family at Christmas and the next year we would be with her family on Christmas and vice versa. So this is the first year that we're not doing that, but during those times we would see Brian as well. But now he has his own family so they've kind of been doing their own tradition on Christmas and then doing the after Christmas, New Years thing with his friends. So its challenging. You have those traditions that you establish when you're young with your parents and then when you get older and start your own family, you have to find a way to incorporate those old traditions and at the same time start your own, new tradition with your own little family."

For nostalgic sake, check out this Christmas song from BSB. They may fly in different directions during the holidays, but at least they can all play their song during their individual parties. [Alright, that's lame. We'll just do that for them.] [video embedded at link]

Also, Kevin's headlining a holiday benefit concert on Dec. 18th! The "Home For The Holidays" concert will help raise funds for the Angeles Clinic Foundation. Check it out...

Youtube Awesomeness

An awesome video of the Boys performing Drowning on the cruise, with Kevin! ♥

And I have no idea what this is, but it looks fun. I think AJ's having fun too...

So, here is a before and after pic. The site I got it from even comments that it's one of those cases where the person looked much better BEFORE the surgery.

Oh, and I forgot to post this pic of 98 Degrees earlier. I have two of their cds, and I enjoyed their music but was never a huge fan. Maybe because Nick Lachey looks a lot like an ex-boyfriend of mine from the neck up. But yowza. I am the fire that needs put out.

And here is the substance. I posted this on my own LJ a few days ago...I'm sure most of you aren't friends of mine on here, and after the way I've run this community today, you probably never will be! LOL Trust me, it could have been worse...I could have FORCED you to read my fanfic! ;) Oh, and on a side note? I recently found the watch I bought years ago that digitally plays the Bye Bye Bye video and shows a brief digital shot of one of the guys in NSYNC on the minute. :)

If I had a BSB icon, I'd use it right now.

As a birthday splurge, I got the BSB Greatest Hits video dvd. I never owned it. And I'm glad I waited until now to get it. It means so much more, since I don't have a lot of the video stuff I used to.

Sitting there watching the videos, especially the concert montage video for "The One," I was really taken back. It shocks me when I realize it was over ten years ago that I got into the boyband thing. For me, it all really started with BSB. My first smutty fanfic was a threesome story with a girl, Jordan Knight and AJ, before I really knew anything about AJ. And then I fell in love with Nick. :) I ended up writing mostly about *NSYNC, but for me, it all started with the Backstreet Boys.

I know that my part of why my marriage fell apart was due to my boyband addiction...yet I can't really see those days as a bad thing. I loved the adoration when I wrote good fanfic. I loved the way I'd sit on the phone with friends, or in person, if possible, and swoon over different things in a video or performance. "AJ's wearing a sheer shirt!" "OMG look at Kevin's abs!" "JC LICKED THE STAGE!"

I've seen BSB seven times, if you include the DC post-9/11 concert and the NKOTBSB show. I've seen *NSYNC six times, including the DC post-9/11 concert. I've seen Justin Timberlake once. I loved every show, and any time any of them are near here, I will go.

I know many people think that if you love boybands, you're childish. I don't see that. What's the difference between this and loving sports teams, or anime, or a special TV show? I guess a lot of people don't understand throwing 100% of yourself into support of something. It's funny, though, the same people who make fun of me for loving *NSYNC are the ones who made sure to say, "I heard/read online that JC from *NSYNC says they will NEVER get back together," or pass along other tidbits of information.

I don't know where I'm going with this ramble, except to say I miss them. I miss the way Kevin took three hours to get out one sentence in an interview. I miss AJ's sexy thrusts. I miss Howie's incessant winking. I miss Brian's sweet smile (Brother Brian - you cute thing). I miss Nicky's cluelessness when he was young, and clumsy sexiness as he got older. I miss Chris' zany antics. I miss Joey's silly tee shirts. I miss Justin's boyish charm - while I still love him, I think he was much more attractive when he was 18-20 yrs old. I miss the way JC morphed into this sexy vague enigma of a man (during the "Pop" video shoot is when I noticed it). And, of course, I miss Lance in general. ESPECIALLY pre-nose job Lance, where he was still sweet and pink-cheeked yet totally Business!Lance. Not "I party all the time with gay male porn stars Lance." But that's just my opinion - I have no clue if that's what he does now. :)

Another picspam

Because I'm allowed. I promise there will be ONE post of substance by the end of the day! :)

Good Morning BoyBandFriends!

A quick intro - I'm Lara (zebraljb), and I'll be your host for today's ride. I'm 39, I live in Hershey, PA, and I'm a divorced mom of one.

My first concert was NKOTB in 1989. Since then, I've seen them two more times, seen Jordan Knight open for *NSYNC, and seen Joey McIntyre in a small club show (met him, too - he was nice). I've seen *NSYNC six times and Backstreet Boys seven times, including the post-9/11 What More Can I Give concert in DC.

I started writing fanfic back in the last 90s...my first real story was a 3some between a female character, Jordan Knight & AJ McLean, and my first slash story was a Brian Littrell/Nick Carter, believe it or not. All of my work can pretty much be found here: www.angelfire.com/oh/onesmartgirl/fanfiction/Lara.html. I've also written in the Lord of the Rings RPS, Phantom of the Opera and Boondock Saints (both real & fic character) fandoms. I've recently discovered the Archive of Our Own page, and am working on archiving ALL my work there.

Enough about me. As you can see, when I devote myself to a fandom, I do it 100% LOL

For this first post, I figured I'd throw in some of my fave pix with some commentary...I kick myself when I think of the pictures I used to have saved and have deleted.

So, popslashers, let's talk MtYG. Who's almost finished with theirs? Ok, for those of us who don't want to contemplate that question, how about a quick game to get your creative juices flowing? Animorphic fic tends to be pretty popular, so which zoo animal do you envision each Sparkly Dance Boy as? And why?

Music Thursday: This I Promise You

I'm in a sappy mood today, so this Thursday we are taking a trip down Nsync memory lane, with This I Promise You!

The turtle necks! The neutral colors on the background of lush green forest gives it such a peaceful atmosphere, and the gorgeous vocals! *sigh*
